19 Jan Celebrating the Best of Houzz Awards 2017 with gorgeous Kitchen Inspiration
The Down2Earth team is so proud to announce that for the 5th year in a row we have been awarded the Houzz 2017 award for Service and for the 4th year in a row we have also been awarded the Houzz 2017 award for Design. We are so thankful for all of the support and fabulous clients that we are lucky to work with!
To celebrate, we’d love to take a look at one of our finest projects from last year. An existing dining room and kitchen, along with a small addition, was turned into a giant space for cooking, eating, and sitting by the fire. Special touches include rejuvenating the fireplace, a farmhouse table made from reclaimed wood with metal factory trestle legs, a custom storage bench at breakfast nook, a built-in bar, a large island with french style stools, a chalkboard wall, and art that reflects the homeowner’s travels. Also part of the project were several bathroom updates and a window bench in the upstairs hallway.
The kitchen features a large island that provides storage and plenty of space for cooking, eating and entertaining. You will also notice the fun touch of the chalkboard wall!
The powder room was also updated and features an outstanding wall paper.
Speaking of wallpaper, another bathroom was redone but we were able to keep the original tiles and create a design for a girls bathroom that was in keeping with a vintage theme.
And last but certainly not least, here is the perfect place to curl up and read a book in any weather! The window bench is simply charming.
Below is the official Houzz Press Release for more information on this great honor!
