Fantastic Five: Design Blogs we love!

Hello everyone! Its Maria, d2e’s Operations manager. I happen to be a bit obsessed with reading design blogs and getting constant inspiration from them. Other than our blog, of course, the following are my five favorite interior design blogs.

1.  Habitually Chic

Looking for inspiration right in your inbox everyday? Heather Clausen sends her blog post in an email everyday. While she does focus on interior design, including the fantastic image below from the post, “Modern Mix Madrid” she also covers fashion, travel adventures and everything glamorous in between. 2.  Apartment Therapy

I found this blog back when I lived in my first place (an apartment in Ardmore, PA) and have been hooked ever since. The great feature of this blog is the navigation, interested in learning more about a project, home tour or specific rooms – you can find it all easily and get inspired instantly. They showcase lots of great DIY projects and before/after examples. Check out a recent post that features an office make over, two ways: High/Low showcasing that great style can come in different budgets! Click here to view >

3.  Design Sponge

This is not a surprise, surely you’ve heard of the fabulousness that is Design Sponge, right? This blog has evolved to be more of a lifestyle blog, from design to travel and everything in between. (Similar to Habitually Chic but a different vibe.) I especially love the home tours of real places. Garnering inspiration from how others do it and Design Sponge constantly finds some of the most interesting interiors around! Check it out >

4. SF Girl by Bay

An inspiration feast for the senses.   This design blog has been a favorite for years. The writer/curator/designer Victoria has a love of and of eye for color that she shares with the world. With a recent move to LA she shows us what inspires her personal home design. I am constantly filing away good ideas while perusing this blog. The instagram account is also a favorite! View blog >

5.  Inhabit

And last but certainly not least… Inhabit. This blog is focused on looking at design in a sustainable way. Founded by a LEED-AP Green designer just like D2E’s owner, Amy! Green design is still visually stunning. I have been seriously drawn to a recent home tour they shared that shows the evolution of a 19th century chapel converted into a home. Learn more >

Thank you this was such a great post. It comes in a variety of wood types, but choose a distressed wood if you want a rustic look.
