Holy Guacamole!

Did you know that November 14 is National Spicy Guacamole Day?   Don’t confuse that with National Guacamole Day (of the non-spicy variety, I suppose) on September 16th.

Not only that, did you know that November 14th is also National Pickle Day?   It’s like the design gods got together and decided that we must all honor our favorite spicy green things today.   And so, I shall oblige with my top 5 Guacamole-green interior design finds.   Check ‘em out:

#1 Girl’s Green Bathroom

This green color is fresh and fun for a teenage girl’s bathroom.   Wallpaper above wainscot is Geometric Abstract Wallpaper Design by Antonia Vella for Seabrook Wallcoverings. The outside of the reclaimed clawfoot tub is painted the fabulous Sherwin-Williams color called Hearts of Palm (SW 6415).   Wallpaper and paint are among the easiest things to change if this gal’s taste moves away from green (gorgeous as it is).

#2 “Bamboo Forest” by Jitka Kamencova Skuhrava

Green and amazing, we love this glass art installation over the bar in Sake No Hana restaurant in London.

#3 Mid Century Dining Chair in Emerald Mohair

Doesn’t the deep, dark, pickley green on these mod shop chairs just remind you of a delicious half-sour?   In the most positive sense, of course?   These would be gorgeous around a dining room table.

#4 Bulldog Pillow

If you know me in person, even a little bit, you probably know that I’m nuts about dogs.   Old English Bulldogs are definitely one of my favorite breeds.   In guacamole green, this pillow would add an awesome pop to your interior design on a sofa or a bed.

#5 Rittenhouse Apartment

Speese_Kathleen (2)

Down2Earth Interior Design pulled together this scheme for a city girl’s first apartment.   Affordable pieces with rustic elements and some pops of avocado green are fresh and natural in the heart of Rittenhouse Square.
