26 May Spring Refresh: Popular Colors for your Interior Right Now
Finally, spring is here and we are seeing some fun interior design color trends emerge. As we start to put the pandemic behind us we are seeing gravitation toward uplifting, comforting colors and more earthy, natural tones as a way to bring the outdoors in. Which is no surprise since we just spent 2 years cooped up inside! Changing out some accent colors can be an easy way to give your space a fresh look through paint, artwork, throw pillows, and décor. Here are some of our favorite colors trends for this spring!
Shades of Green
Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore both named soft green-greys as their color of the year, Evergreen Fog (SW) and October Mist (BM). If you’re a little hesitant to adding color to your space soft, earthy greens are a great place to start. Sage-y greens tones are calm and comforting colors that will create a relaxing, back-to-nature environment.
Aubergine = The new navy
You heard it here first, Aubergine is the new navy. We are seeing a move away from light, bright interior design and move towards darker colors. If you are looking for something a little more sophisticated and moody, a rich eggplant tone will be perfect for you. It’s bold, yet classic. This deep purple creates a cozy, intimate atmosphere perfect for bedrooms or a reading nook.
Cloudy Sky Blues
Pantone listed Glacier Lake as one of their trending colors for this spring and summer. It’s a cool, calming blue with that is a fresh take on a timeless color. It’s a playful, bright pop of color, but is softened by a touch of grey and warm undertones. Again, creating the more earthy, muted atmosphere we are seeing in interior design right now.
Rust & Coral
Another 2022 spring/ summer color trend from Pantone, Coral Rose. We are seeing this color as fresh, peachy oranges for a playful pop of color and also a more earthy, burnt sienna for a more warm and richer look.
