02 Mar Why Good Design Makes Organization Simple

We all know Amy is multi-faceted with her many interests and talents, but she just added a new experience to the list: podcast guest! Let’s hear from Amy about the experience!

I was honored to be the first guest on a new podcast called “Clarity and Order the Carrie Kauffman Way.” Carrie is a professional organizer and owner of Carrie’s Essential Services. She is also a long-time down2earth interior design client. Carrie and I talk about how we first met (it’s a funny story) and how we’ve collaborated ever since. Our conversation explores how interior design and organization work together to create homes that are not only beautiful but also functional.

Carrie and I discuss how thoughtful design can make staying organized effortless, from the layout of your home to the way storage is integrated. I have to admit, I was a little nervous, having never been a podcast guest before, but Carrie made me feel instantly comfortable, and the conversation really shows the connection between two friends just talking (which is exactly what we were doing). Carrie asks how I get on the same page as design clients when they aren’t even sure what they’re looking for, and how to know when you need an interior designer. We touch on important topics like universal design, workplace research, and why seeking timelessness in our design choices is inherently sustainable.

Tune in to learn practical tips and insights on how the right design choices can support both your space and your peace of mind, making it easier than ever to live in a home that feels calm, ordered, and truly yours.

Can’t wait to continue listening to the rest of the series –believe it or not, Carrie’s next guest is going to be a sex therapist, talking about how clutter in a bedroom is a romance killer, and what to do about it. Can’t wait to see what else Carrie has in store for us.
