BELMONT AVENUE | DOYLESTOWN, PA
At down2earth interior design, we love master planning. That’s why we were so excited when we were brought in to help reimagine this Doylestown home from the foundation up. The home was selected for its location in walking distance to the Doylestown town center, but everything, and we mean everything, about the home’s layout needed to be reimagined.
In one of the most dramatic changes, the kitchen moved to where the family room used to be; down2earth design created a layout in which the kitchen is the centerpiece of an open concept plan that allows the parents to keep track of their three busy young children. Other changes include the demolition of a covered porch to let more light into the home, the addition of a mudroom off the kitchen, as well lots of square footage added over the garage for a giant master suite. Not only that, but the homeowner embraces bold color choices, from navy hallways, to a living room wallpaper in a deep rust with snowy egrets, to a funky metallic powder room.
