About This Project

Surely the carvings in these dining room doors were high style at one time.   Although the door style is now outdated and quite dark, the modern family living in this home loved all the storage this unit afforded.  To keep the excellent storage capacity, we designed new doors for the cabinetry and scaled back the header, while incorporating lights to highlight the one-of-a-kind artwork the family had acquired overseas.  New chairs, lighting, paint, and window treatments keep the look clean and modern.   The new rug is actually comprised of carpet squares, which could be removed and cleaned or replaced in the case of spills, and the carpet tile allowed us to create a custom rug size for this elongated space.
